How do I arrange to enter into care?

To enter into our facility you will need to have had an assessment completed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). http://www.myagedcare.gov.au/acat-assessments

From the 1st July, 2014 there were some changes made within aged care.  The ACAT approval will no longer refer to the current low-level or high-level permanent residential care categories. Removal of these categories will provide more flexibility for us as a service provider to meet your changing needs. This does not mean that the level of care you will receive will be less.

Once the ACAT assessment is carried out, you will receive a letter advising if you have been approved as eligible for government aged care services. You should bring this letter with you when you visit us. The letter will help us learn what type of care you need and that you are approved to receive this care.

The Palms Aged Care is fully accredited by the Aged Care Quality & Safety Commission, and is eligible to receive Government funding. The Palms Aged Care’s excellent accreditation record is a testimony to the company’s leadership in the provision of consumer centered care.
